I recently had cause to review the Tenant Settings in the Power BI Service. One of the settings seemed somewhat ambiguous (at least to me): “Create workspaces (new workspace experience)”.
Does disabling this setting stop all workspaces being created or just new workspaces (those that do not automatically have an Office 365 group associated with them)?
After some testing, I found that disabling the setting only stops new workspaces from being created. Unfortunately this means that there is no way to control the creation of “classic” workspaces (& the associated Office 365 groups) by users via Tenant Settings in the Admin Portal.
